Maegan D'Amato
Registered Yoga Teacher
Certified Reiki Level I Practitioner
Mindfulness Meditation Teacher

Maegan D'Amato describes herself as a "wounded healer" whose life experiences led her toward clinical social work and helping others achieve wellbeing and happiness.

"It is human nature to try and create understanding of the situations we experience, for once we understand what the experience is, what we feel and why we feel it, we can begin to take back our control. I believe that it is from this space that we can then begin to heal; to create necessary change and grow. As a therapist, it is my goal to help move you through the power of “why?” so that you may gain understanding, take back your control, and heal. I offer therapy to people with anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, complex trauma, sexuality and gender, ASD, and difficulty with navigating life transitions.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with young adults and adults (ages 17-65+) in outpatient mental health and college counseling centers. In addition to my clinical training, I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, a certified Usui Reiki Level I practitioner, and a mindfulness meditation teacher.

My approach to therapy is warm and compassionate, utilizing mindfulness-based interventions and the therapeutic relationship as vehicles for healing. I also welcome humor, honesty, and open feedback into our work together. I welcome and celebrate LGBTQ+ clients, clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, and clients with disabilities."
