The Healing Project: Pick Up Your Bed and Walk

The Healing Project is a safe space for you to explore exciting self-care options. The current pandemic is a clarion call for you to examine your life condition with great scrutiny. "Sheltering in place" can become a daily self-improvement exercise as you make the necessary changes to to be the best YOU.




Self-care is a deliberate action to reduce anxiety and improve toxic moods. Healing is a very personal exercise that requires deep self-reflection, over a long period of time--a lifetime. It is very important that you know yourself. This process can be grueling if you don’t first commit to forgiving yourself for any and all mistakes you may have made along the way.


As the saying goes, “when you know better, you do better.”


Dedicate yourself to the process for this lifelong journey. Make it a beautiful experience. You owe it to yourself. Commit to your wildest dreams. Let it be about you—just this once—and watch the magic unfold!


Before you get out the bed, express your gratitude for life. As you cleanse your body, enjoy the feel of the water on your skin, the scent of the soap, and the texture of the washcloth on your skin. Brush your teeth. Massage your scalp.


Go to the kitchen with the intention of cleansing your blood. Drink a shot of apple cider vinegar or drink a glass of unsweetened lemon water (brush your teeth again to protect tooth enamel). Reduce inflammation and manage aches and pains with a cup of golden milk in place of a caffeinated brew. Plan a healthy breakfast. Learn how to create new and healthier dishes. Surprise yourself! Make eating an adventure. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Cleanse your colon. Replace malignant thoughts and harmful behaviors with uplifting affirmations and progressive vision.


Your health is your responsibility. A doctor or any other health care practitioner, traditional and non-traditional, can only be a support system for you. Believe it or not, your health is in your hands!



Healing opportunities are all around you. Nature has provided all of your needs. The cycle of life relies on Mother Nature. Why not counsel with her for your health?


In order to enjoy life to the fullest, you must pick up your bed and walk. Be responsible for everything and everyone you invite into your life. Discernment is very important!


You can, with great attention and belief in yourself, change your physical, mental, and emotional health condition by utilizing nature's bounty, detoxifying your body, and allowing it to do what it was designed to do...HEAL.
